چکیده

A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2015–16 and 2016–17 to assess influence of nitrogen levels irrigation methods on soil nutrients under potato cultivation at Hisar, Haryana. The treatments comprising (drip furrow) five doses (60, 80, 100, 120 140% RDN) were laid out in split plot design replicated thrice. Among levels, the mean maximum available (N) recorded 60% RDN (121.00; 124.00 kg/ha) 2016–17, respectively. With respect methods, N drip (113.73; 112.87 2016–17,respectively. Considering phosphorous 2015–16, minimum treatment 100% (10.34 (20.50 kg/ha). interaction effect method same level found significant for nutrients. (104.67 P (8.00 obtained with 2015–16. Similar effectswere observed regarding 2016–17. Hence, condition proved best treatment.

Effects of Nitrogen and Potasium on in vitro Microtuberization of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L. var Agria)

Optimum concentrations of nitrogen and potassium on in vitro microtuberization of Agria, a popular variety of Potato, Solanum tuberosum L., were evaluated. The concentrations of 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 folds of standard concentrations of NH4NO3 (1650 mgl) and KNO3 (1900 mgl) were used in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, and their effects were studied on cell number, cell sizes, and number of amid...

The nitrogen responsive transcriptome in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) reveals significant gene regulatory motifs

Nitrogen (N) is the most important nutrient for the growth of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). Foliar gene expression in potato plants with and without N supplementation at 180 kg N ha(-1) was compared at mid-season. Genes with consistent differences in foliar expression due to N supplementation over three cultivars and two developmental time points were examined. In total, thirty genes were foun...

In vitro microtuberization in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars.

Mechanism of microtuberization in three elite cultivars kufri badhsha (KB), kufri chandramukhi (KCM) and kufri jawahar (KJ) of potato was studied. Sprouts of all the three cultivars were used to obtain in vitro shoot cultures. MS medium supplemented with chlorocholine chloride was found to be most suitable for all the cultivars. Maximum tuberization was obtained under incubation conditions of c...
